Welcome to Sequoyah Middle School
Dear Parents, Students and Community Stakeholders,
Welcome to Sequoyah Middle School, where our students are always, Brilliant, Respectful, Accountable, Veracious and Engaged.  Our mission at Sequoyah Middle School is to ensure that our student's success, leads  to higher education, work, and life-long learning.  Our vision is to be a high achieving school that values academic, creative & physical excellence, social equity, cultural identity and community/parental engagement.  This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevent and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. 
We will make the 2019-2020 school year the best yet!  Please assist us by having your student(s) present each and every day, on time and ready to learn.  Our school day is from 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM.  Early student pick-up must be concluded before 3:20 PM by a parent or guardian with proper identification.  Please call the main office should you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you for your continued support.

Our Sequoyah Book Fair started today, Monday, December 2nd and we need volunteers from Monday to Friday, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please, contact Ms. Feacher for more information, and do not forget to support our Book Fair sending money to your children so they can buy books and they can expand their reading skills.

Attention 8th Grade Parents:                                                                                                   

If you did not attend 8th grade night to complete your child’s 9th grade course, we are conducting make-up sessions from December 2nd to December 6th from 10:00AM- 2:00 PM and on December 3rd & 5th from 4:30 -6:00 PM. Please adjust your schedule to attend.

Title I
Our school is a Title I school, and as the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parent and family engagement program and activities in our school. The focus of all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status and background.

Uniform Expectations
We expect our students to adhere to the school's uniform policy.  Students may wear dark green, yellow, black or white polo shirts tucked into pants.  Pants must be black or khaki. Belts should be worn (no cloth belts please).  Black or white shoes may be worn.  Spirit wear may be worn on Friday's.  Sweaters must be solid school colors.   
School Nutrition

Students if you would like to participate in the Free/Reduced Lunch Program (NSLP), make sure to update your account with an application for this current 2019-2020 school year. Last year’s authorization ends next week and your account will have to be renewed. You can get a new application from the front office, cafeteria, or you can always apply online at with your valid student ID number!
