Dear Sequoyah Family,
Please join me in saying thanks to our Partners In Education: Latin American Association, Atlanta United, Major League Soccer, Club America, Liga MX and a local artist Thomas Turner for taking the time out of their busy schedules to share in this special day with our students, teachers and parents. Thanks to the efforts of our P.I.E.'s we now have a newly refurbished soccer field for the use of our school and community. We believe it is important for our students to have a safe place to play soccer, learn life skills and develop the character traits that will serve them for a lifetime. It was a truly memorable occassion. We hope to have many more oppoortunities like this in the future!
This awesome partnership has revistalized not just our soccer field but renewed support of our soccer team, school and surrounding community. Our school-wide theme for the school year, "Better Together" embodies the concept that partnerships like these really make a difference. Our students have begun to realize how important it is to take ownership of their academics, to take pride in their extracurricular activities and their school. Our students have learned the value and impact of having great community partners that serve and share with others. We look forward to a mutually benefical partnership for many years to come!
